For over 30 years, I’ve been dedicated to supporting Variety – the Children’s Charity. While working as a teacher in Vancouver, I started a school club called “Variety” to give students the chance to help less fortunate children across B.C. Throughout the year, we organized various fundraising events — one of our most meaningful efforts was selling Gold Hearts to support kids in need.

 

Even after retiring, my passion for helping children, especially those with special needs, has never faded. I continued the fundraising tradition by turning our home into a festive display during Halloween and Christmas, bringing joy to the community while raising funds for a cause close to my heart.

 

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we raised $5,000 for Variety last year — and we’re thrilled to continue the tradition again this Halloween!
